Migraine is a severe recurring vascular headache; occurs more frequently in women than men. Migraine results from contraction, accompanied by rapid expansion of the blood vessels in the head. The pain begins from the center of the forehead mild then to grow severe or around one eye and may spread to the whole forehead gradually.
here is some simple cure for migrain pain...
1.One of the most knock-down natural treatments for headaches is aromatherapy, essential oil of peppermint, eucalyptus oil, lavender oil etc. Mix few drops of any of these oils with warm water. Swirl a soft cloth in the mix and squeeze the cloth. The cloth can be used as a compressor, on the neck or head for better results.
2.For headaches that are caused due to sinus problems, heat some vinegar in a bowl of boiling water. Now inhales the fumes that are exhaling from the bowl, as these fumes helped to unblock the sinus and relieve headaches.
3.A head massage can be mixed with a neck massage for release of tension that is built up around the neck, as sometimes this tension around the neck may be the cause for headaches. Rest and relax for an hour after the massage and don’t indulge any sort of activities immediately.
4.Apply an icepack wrapped in a soft cloth; to that particular area of the head of originating the pain can also relieve headaches. The icepack can be placed on the forehead or on the back of the neck for better release from tension and stress.
5.Take one teaspoon dried ginger powder and mix with half teaspoon of turmeric powder. Add milk to this mixture so as to make a paste. Apply this paste on forehead and wash with cold water after half an hour.
6.Lemon crusts are effective for migraine. Grind lemon crust and apply as a thick paste on the forehead. Migraine cures using this treatment has been found very effective and long lasting.
7.Ripe grapes are useful for reducing migraine. Grind fresh ripe grapes and drink without diluting with water.
8.Cabbage leaf compress can relieve the pain of a migraine headache. Crush a few cabbage leaves, place in a cloth and apply on the forehead for a lengthy period of time. Use only the fresh leaves when the compressed leaves dry out.
9.Fomentation over the stomach and spine, cold compress applied to the head, a hot foot bath, towels wrung out of very hot water and frequently applied to the neck will go a long way in relieving migraine headaches.
10.Avoid constipation by drinking one liter of water in a day or by drinking warm water and fruit juices.
11.Exercise regularly, frequent fresh air walks and yoga will be helpful in relieving migraine tension and strain.
12.Carrot juice combined with spinach, cucumber and beet juices are good for migraine treatment. Either taking it alone or mixing it with other juices are also found to be worthful.
13.Relaxation, It is very important for you to take out some time for relaxation and recreation from your busy schedule if you wish to lead a healthy life. Meditation is one of the best relaxation techniques and helps increase the transport o oxygen to all the body parts. You can also listen to light music or follow some chants on a daily basis to relax your over-worked mind.
14.Exercise, Regular exercise helps combat stress and releases endorphins in the body. These hormones give a feeling of pleasure and happiness and help reduce anxiety and tension. A 15 minute walk or aerobics routine can be done regularly to keep stress at bay and prevent the occurrence of a migraine attack.
15.Ashwagandha is a popular herb that is recommended for treating stress and provides nourishment to the body tissues. This anti-stress herb is available n the form of herbal dietary supplements and can be taken on a daily basis to prevent the occurrence of a migraine attack.
Diet Intake of a diet comprising of tyramine rich foods, processed or deep fried foods, chocolates, wine, sharp cheeses, nuts, fermented or pickled foods and monosodium glutamate should be restricted. You must take a balanced diet comprising of fresh fruits and vegetables such as carrots, beets, milk yogurt and honey.
