Migraine is a severe recurring vascular headache; occurs more frequently in women than men. Migraine results from contraction, accompanied by rapid expansion of the blood vessels in the head. The pain begins from the center of the forehead mild then to grow severe or around one eye and may spread to the whole forehead gradually.

7.Ripe grapes are useful for reducing migraine. Grind fresh ripe grapes and drink without diluting with water.

Pour distilled white vinegar onto the hair, as close to the scalp as you can manage; massage into the scalp; and allow to dry for several minutes before washing as usual. Repeat daily until the dandruff disappears, usually within a few days.

Blood Pressure
Garlic is known to lower cholesterol, bring down blood’s triglyceride levels, inhibit platelet’s stickiness and ease blood coagulation. Having garlic juice with fresh water lowers high blood pressure.
Cholestrol
• Green tea is refreshing and cuts down body fat. Avoid adding milk and sugar to it. Drinking four to eight cups of green tea lowers high blood pressure as well.
• Also two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in 500 ml of green tea is beneficial to cholestrol patients. They should drink it within two hours of sleeping and nothing should be eaten after that.
Diabetes
Bitter gourd is a good medicine for diabetics as it helps in better flow of insulin.
• Peel off the skin, dry it and make fine powder. Consume three to six grams of powder every day with water or honey.
• Drink bitter gourd juice every alternate day.
• Bitter gourd cooked with a pinch of salt and turmeric is also an option. Use less oil and avoid spices.
• Have lots of fresh fruits and leafy vegetables, such as lettuce, without any dressing.
• Eat wheat flour chapattis minus the ghee. Avoid rice, lal mirch and salt.
• Put 300 gms of jamon in 600 ml. of boiling water. Cook for five to ten minutes. Mash after cooling and strain using muslin cloth. Consume this juice thrice a day, daily.
Sinus
• Jalneti is a process wherein you take one litre of warm water and add 10 grams of salt to it. Allow half litre of water to pass through each of your nostril by using a jalneti pot (lota). Perform sheershan after this to drain out excess water. It’s important not to try this medication on your own. Consult the nearest yoga centre for expert guidance. If you catch a cold after performing jalneti, discontinue it. Performing this medication in the morning is beneficial.
• Take a handful of ajwain and roast it on a hot surface. Tie into a muslin cloth, rub and inhale slowly from both nostrils. Go easy as the smell is very strong.
Continue jalneti and ajwain medication for a week. Thereafter, you may stop ajwain medication and continue only with jalneti.

• Have calcium-rich foods such as fresh apple juice, cereals and breads. Dark leafy vegetables such as beans, bean sprout, yellow and orange vegetable and tofu are advisable.
• Chew a handful of sesame seeds every morning. It provides at least 1200 mg of natural calcium. Or you may have one part of black or white sesame seeds with half part shatavari (ginger and sugar added to taste).
Muscle and joint pain
As per Ayurveda, joint and muscle pains are due to veta related disorders which attack older people.
• Follow a vegetarian diet. Avoid fatty foods, dairy products, excess salt and sugar.
• Include dates, raisins and citrus fruits such as oranges in your diet.
• Sip hot water and tea made from dry ginger root.
Headache
• Soak 10 gms of tamarind in a glass of water. Take the juice out and mix it with some sugar. The drink helps relieve headache.
• Make a mustard paste, using little water. Apply it on your forehead.
• Tie two clean betel leaves on your ears. The coolness of the leaves has a healing effect on the eardrums, subsequently easing the headache.
Backache
• Betel leaf juice, when mixed with refined coconut oil and applied on the back, provides relief.
• Garlic extract is known to provide relief from backache without any side effects.
• Mix lemongrass with coconut oil (twice the quantity) and apply where you experience pain.
• Having food grains such as wheat, millet and sorghum (in form of rotis) is advised.
• Grind some sesame seeds in water. Warm the solution and apply repeatedly.
For healthy hair
• To curb hairfall, have two to five grams of trifala mixed with 125 mg of iron dust in the morning.
• Use an iron kadahi for cooking. It adds extra iron to your food which helps maintain healthy hair.
• Add tamarind and curry leaves to your food.
• Have amla in your everyday meals.
• Have whole grain flours instead of refined ones.
• Have yoghurt and lassi.
Weight lossDrink honey and cinammon powder (boiled in cup of water) on empty stomach every morning half an hour before breakfast and at night before sleeping.

Garlic is known to lower cholesterol, bring down blood’s triglyceride levels, inhibit platelet’s stickiness and ease blood coagulation. Having garlic juice with fresh water lowers high blood pressure.
Cholestrol
• Green tea is refreshing and cuts down body fat. Avoid adding milk and sugar to it. Drinking four to eight cups of green tea lowers high blood pressure as well.
• Also two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in 500 ml of green tea is beneficial to cholestrol patients. They should drink it within two hours of sleeping and nothing should be eaten after that.
Diabetes
Bitter gourd is a good medicine for diabetics as it helps in better flow of insulin.
• Peel off the skin, dry it and make fine powder. Consume three to six grams of powder every day with water or honey.
• Drink bitter gourd juice every alternate day.
• Bitter gourd cooked with a pinch of salt and turmeric is also an option. Use less oil and avoid spices.
• Have lots of fresh fruits and leafy vegetables, such as lettuce, without any dressing.
• Eat wheat flour chapattis minus the ghee. Avoid rice, lal mirch and salt.
• Put 300 gms of jamon in 600 ml. of boiling water. Cook for five to ten minutes. Mash after cooling and strain using muslin cloth. Consume this juice thrice a day, daily.
Sinus
• Jalneti is a process wherein you take one litre of warm water and add 10 grams of salt to it. Allow half litre of water to pass through each of your nostril by using a jalneti pot (lota). Perform sheershan after this to drain out excess water. It’s important not to try this medication on your own. Consult the nearest yoga centre for expert guidance. If you catch a cold after performing jalneti, discontinue it. Performing this medication in the morning is beneficial.
• Take a handful of ajwain and roast it on a hot surface. Tie into a muslin cloth, rub and inhale slowly from both nostrils. Go easy as the smell is very strong.
Continue jalneti and ajwain medication for a week. Thereafter, you may stop ajwain medication and continue only with jalneti.

Apply juice of pudina (fresh mint) on face or paste of nutmeg ( jaiphal) to cure pimples. Pimples disappear without scar when rubbed with raw garlic several times a day.
Apply a paste of neem powder and fresh turmeric rhizome on face before bath for glowing skin and to remove scars.
Add 2 drops of lemon / orange juice to a spoon of honey and apply on face to remove tan.
Apply pulp of Aloe vera mixed with turmeric powder on face to improve complexion. Applying a paste of tulsi leaves on face also does wonders.
Mix Aloe vera gel, paste of marigold flowers, lemon juice, orange juice and massage on face for a few minutes and leave on for half an hour.

HOME REMEDIES FOR HEADACHE AND MIGRAINES
1.Place your thumbs right in the center of each temple Massage firmly
using a circular motion for a minute or two, or until you feel relief.
A hot water bath or shower may also help to relieve the headache.

3.Make a compress by putting 5 drops of lavender essential oil in cold
(or warm) water. Swish around a soft cloth, and then put it on your
head or neck.

give relief to the headache.
6.Deep breathing is a great tension reliever. Deep breathing gives
immediate relief to the headache.
7.Tie a tight cloth around the head. It will decrease blood flow to the
scalp and lessen the throbbing and pounding of a migraine.
8.Avoid chocolate, aged cheese, red wine, citrus fruits. These foods all
contain tyramine or other histamines which have been shown to begin
migraines in people with food sensitivities.
9.For natural cure for migraine headache, prepare a paste of freshly
ground clay or freshly ground sandalwood and apply to the forehead,
let dry, rub off by hand and wash.
10.Drink a teaspoon of honey in a glass of warm water or fill the stomach
completely with water if not suffering from a cold.
11.Take equal parts of natural apple cider vinegar and water place in a
small pan on the stove, allowing it to boil slowly. When the fumes
begin to rise from the pan, lean your head over it until the fumes are
comfortably strong. Inhale for approximately 50 to 80 breaths.
Juice of ripe grapes and is an effective home remedy for the migraine headache.
12.Niacin has proved helpful in relieving migraine pain. Valuable sources
of this vitamin are yeast, whole wheat, green leafy vegetables,
tomatoes, nuts, sunflower seeds, liver, and fish.
13.Take few leaves of the cabbage crush them, and then place in a cloth
and bound on the forehead at bedtime, or when convenient during the
day. The Compress should be renewed when the leaves dry out.
Make a paste of the lemon crust. The paste should be applied, like a
plaster on the forehead. It will provide great relief.
14.Carrot juice along with spinach, or beet and cucumber juices, has been
found beneficial in the treatment of migraine. In the first
combination, 200 ml of spinach juice may be mixed with 300 ml of
carrot juice to prepare 500 ml or half a litre of the combined juices.
In the second combination, 100 ml each of beet and cucumber juices may
be mixed with 300 ml of carrot juice. This is very effective home
remedy for headache and migraines.
15.The patient should eat frequent small meals rather than a few large
ones. Overeating should be avoided. Copious drinking of water is
beneficial.
Rutin removes toxic metals, which may cause migraines.
